McDonald's has been known for its pink slime scare and generally gross meat from the film "Super Size Me." But the fast food chain is making efforts to appeal to those who solely eat grass-fed, organic beef with their new organic burger.

The catch? It's only available in Germany starting, Oct. 1, and the cost has yet to be released.

The organic beef burger, called the "McB," will contain an organic beef patty, but will also include lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, cheese and sauce that are not organic.

Despite not being available in America — yet — the burger could lead to healthful changes to the food industry. McDonald’s is known to test new menu items in smaller countries before bringing them to the United States. Since Germany has a huge organic food market, it is able to supply McDonald’s purchasing needs, meaning if the burger was to come to America, it would increase the demand for organic meat.

With a new organic burger on the market, fast food competitors might feel pressured to offer more organic items as well, so keep an eye out for healthier fast food fare soon.
