I'm currently a high school senior looking at several different schools in NC for broadcast journalism. How soon after enrollment could I get involved with ELN? I have three years of news experience; my high school has an upscale (for HS) media program that I've worked with since my sophomore year. I believe that I could contribute to ELN from Day 1 of my freshman year, but I'm not sure if first-years are normally allowed to work with the station. I'd like to know about this because I'll make my final college decision partially based on which school will let me gain on-air experience as soon as possible.
