No, this is not a scene from the now popular Disney movie Frozen, the Elon community is experiencing freezing temperatures and snow showers tonight, Jan. 21.

Elon, N.C. is expected to see continued snow showers throughout the evening and into the late overnight hours, according to The Weather Channel. A Winter Weather Advisory has been released for Alamance County until 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, Jan. 22. Between one to two inches is expected to fall.

By 7 a.m. temperatures are expected to drop significantly to 11 degrees with a wind chill of -4 degrees. Elon Local News advises its viewers to take precaution tomorrow morning on the way to work or class. In addition to below freezing temperatures, roads and sidewalks may be icy.
