Elon University wins in pitchers duel against University of Kentucky

The 2022 Colonial Athletic Association co-rookie of the year sophomore left-handed pitcher Shea Sprague stepped onto the mound of the Elon University baseball team’s Opening Day with immense confidence. Sprague would go on to pitch a strong 79 pitches over six innings, giving up zero runs and leading the team to a 2-0 win against the University of Kentucky.

Elon University men’s golf showcases young roster for spring season

The Elon University's men's golf team faced a 180 degree turn when it returned to the links this fall. The team of ten last year was made up of four seniors and two graduate students, and this year, it has just one of each that make up the ten man roster. Now, primarily made up of underclassmen, head coach Don Hill said he’s seen this year’s team bond in ways last year’s group did not.

Elon University softball steps on to the diamond

The Elon University softball team stepped onto the field for the first time in the 2023 regular season playing in the Elon Softball Classic tournament Feb. 10 to  to 11. The team has played four games so far — two against Winthrop University, one against North Carolina Central University and one against Morgan State University — and finished 1-3 with its only win coming against NC Central.

Elon alumna covers the 2023 Super Bowl

Elon University alumna Caroline Brehman ’18 will not only be attending the 2023 Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb.12 in Phoenix, Arizona, but she will be on the sidelines working as a photojournalist for the Eagles through European Pressphoto Agency.

Elon University football player joins battle against breast cancer

Jon Seaton currently has over 1.8 million followers on TikTok thanks to his name, image and likeness deal, which helps all kinds of collegiate athletes achieve influence and enhance their careers. Seaton partnered with Outback Steakhouse in October. Now, he and the restaurant chain are working to help in the fight against cancer with Fighting Pretty, a nonprofit organization created by Kara Frazier to empower women during and after cancer treatment.
