When I walked into Harusaki Sushi and saw the image of the Honey Chicken on their TV, I knew that I had to try it. Harusaki Sushi specializes in Japanese cuisine, specifically sushi, with over 40 items on the menu.
Coffee, milkshake, or smoothie? Blended Nutrition & Energy’s pumpkin spice latte shake took the characteristics of all three of those classic treats and made something unique. While the taste wasn’t what I expected — sweet and sugary — it was still delicious.
Converge Coffee, a Burlington coffee shop, makes you feel safe and welcome as soon as you walk inside. Customers are greeted by kind staff who help you decide what to order. The fall decor makes you feel right at home during the season, with leaf-like chairs and warm colors all around. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and sweet pastries fill up the shop.

3T’s Fried Chicken & Shakes has become a trending topic on Elon University’s campus due to its new reputation from many students as “the best chicken sandwich in Elon.” The restaurant is just a seven minute drive from campus and has affordable, tasty fried food and delicious shakes. 3T’s doesn’t offer outdoor seating, however they do have indoor dining and online ordering that takes about 30 minutes for a four person meal. Their customer service was great, and even had a warm environment for kids, since they passed out chicken coloring papers to anyone waiting for food.
Saigon Vietnamese Noodle & Hibachi was a place where I was waiting to get my hands on their cuisine. Just a 10 minute drive from Elon University’s campus, I was excited to get takeout from this Asian restaurant. They offered classic Vietnamese dishes, from Shrimp Pho Noodles to Filet Mignon Hibachi. Little did Saigon know that they would be my first experience trying Vietnamese food.
The Root is a downtown staple for many Elon students and I only thought it would be right to give it a try. For this dining experience, I took my friends Claire, Julia, Grace and Margo to see what the hype was about. Although we visited during the packed dinner rush, the food and service wait was not long.
