In June 2025, JetZero announced it will build its first commercial airplane manufacturing facility at the Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. Gov. Josh Stein said the facility will add more than 14,000 jobs and invests almost $5 billion dollars into the state.

Elon senior and music production and recording arts major Brandon Cericola helps design a 10-speaker sound for the Performing Arts Department’s performance of “Rent” which ran Feb. 13 to Feb. 15. This is the first time an immersive sound system has been used in McCrary Theatre.
With 10 speakers and an immersive sound setup, audiences heard a different version of McCrary Theatre for Elon University’s Performing Arts production of “Rent”.
McCrary Theatre received a taste of New Orleans with a concert from Tuba Skinny, a seven-piece Jazz ensemble based in Louisiana. The show was full of foot-tapping and spirited, complex solos from each of the different instrumentalists.

JetZero is an aerospace company focused on developing a blended wing body jet designed to reduce fuel burn, emissions and noise dramatically. The aircraft reimagines the traditional design by creating lift across the entire wingspan, opening the door for both efficiency and passenger comfort. Before his presentation, he sat down for an exclusive interview with Elon News Network’s Charlotte Pfabe to discuss his path from a political science major at Furman University to an aerospace CEO. O’Leary began his career far from aerospace as a fourth-grade teacher. Being a graduate of Furman University with a degree in political science, he spent five years teaching fourth grade before moving into sales roles in the automotive and tech industries. He later held leadership positions at companies, including working with Tesla.
