The City of Burlington announced in a press release Jan. 25 that Link Transit, solid waste collection, administrative offices, and Recreation and Parks operations for Jan. 26 are all impacted by the ongoing winter storm.
The Link Transit system will not operate Jan. 26.
The Monday solid waste collection route is now set for a start time of 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27. In addition, the typical Tuesday route is postponed to Wednesday, Jan. 28, also with a 9 a.m. start time.
City administrative offices will be closed to the public and non-essential employees Jan. 26. In addition, all Recreation and Parks facilities will be closed Jan. 26.
According to the press release, street department crews are continuing to treat roadways. The release encourages all motorists to “use caution and stay off the roadways.”
Emergency services will remain upstaffed through the evening’s weather, and equipment services will remain on-site to assist with vehicle needs, according to the press release.
