According to an email from Vice President of Student Life Jon Dooley, Elon University offices will be closed Jan. 26 due to a winter storm warning in effect through 1 p.m. Jan. 26.

The email also stated that graduate and law classes will not be held in-person at the Elon, Greensboro or Charlotte campus locations Jan. 26.

Facilities Management is working to maintain safe conditions on sidewalks and will continue working on campus parking lots and roadways, Dooley wrote.

According to the email, some Elon offices and services are still open Jan. 26, such as campus safety, residence halls and university apartments, Belk Library, Campus Recreation, Elon Dining, and Moseley Center.

Elon Dining locations will operate on a modified schedule and hours could change due to staffing, according to the email. Dooley also wrote that Elon Dining has partnered with the university to provide meals to students who are remaining on campus during break. Students need their Phoenix cards to tap into locations.

Dooley also wrote that Mail Services, Counseling Services and Student Health Services will be closed Jan. 26.

TimelyCare, on-demand medical and mental health support services, are available to all Elon students around the clock, from anywhere in the United States, Dooley included.

Dooley added that the next email update about the winter storm is planned for the afternoon of Jan. 26.
