Incumbents Montreena Hadley, Tim Bradley and Jonathan White will rejoin the Mebane Town Council following municipal elections on Nov. 4.

Hadley received the most votes with 33.27% to reclaim her seat on the council.

Newcomer Blair Helms only acquired 7.16% of the vote.

Richard Thomas was on the ballot for Mebane City Council but told Elon News Network that he is withdrawing from the race. Thomas received 5.83% of the vote.

Hadley said she is looking forward to the next four years.

“Continuing the work that I've started with the community, and making my community proud of me, making sure that the citizens of Mebane and all citizens of Mebane have a voice,” Hadley said.

Hadley said she is thankful for the community and the citizens of Mebane.

Bradley said he celebrated by picking up leftover campaign signs.

“I don't like to see the political signs left out for a long period of time,” Bradley said.

Bradley said he’s looking forward to continuing to serve the citizens of Mebane.

“Just continuing to improve our parks, improve our infrastructure, and continue to make Mebane such a great place to live,” Bradley said.

White said he is eager to start another four-year term and serve in the city.

“Elections are always a big deal,” White said. “Glad to get so many votes from people in the city.”

White also said he is pleased with the progress of new initiatives in the city.

“I'm glad that I can just continue to be involved in pushing them to completion,” White said.
