Republican Rick Gunn pulls ahead in the polls with 53 percent of votes, while his democratic opponent, J.D. Wooten is behind with 47 percent of the votes.

As 32 out of 52 precincts have cast their votes, we can now predict that Rick Gunn will be victorious.

In a close race for North Carolina's 4th Senate District, republican Rick Gunn is leading the polls by 50.57 percent, while his democratic opponent, J.D. Wooten, is following close behind with 49.43 percent of the votes. 

A total of 14 out of 52 precincts have cast their votes. Although the candidates are currently running neck-and-neck, 38 precincts have yet to cast their votes. 

J.D. Wooten, democratic opponent in the North Carolina Senate is running with priorities of equality, education, healthcare and redistricting. 

North Carolina Senate Republican incumbent Rick Gunn is focused on agriculture, education and the right for parents to choose education options for their children.
