Elon University's chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma earned recognition from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business as a High Honors Chapter for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Elon's Beta Gamma Sigma chapter was established in 2004 and has worked to encourage and honor academic achievement in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
The international honor society inducted 40 undergraduate students and seven MBA candidates during the last academic year.
According to Amber Nicholson, director of collegiate and alumni relations at Beta Gamma Sigma, this new status places the honor society in high regard and reflects the effort students and faculty have put in to developing a thriving organization.
