“Sex and the City’s” Kim Cattrall wants to make one thing clear: She may not have gaggles of little kids running around her household, but no one can call her any less of a woman

The actress spoke on BBC’s “Woman’s Hour Takeover” earlier today, telling all of those “misogynist” haters out there that just because she missed those naptimes and play dates doesn’t mean that she isn’t doing her part as a modern-day working gal.

“If I didn’t have children I was a selfish b****,” Kim told BBC.  “The misogyny is rife in this area. It’s like, well, you’re not really a woman. You didn’t experience that. Well, you know I did have three kidney stone attacks and they say that’s the closest thing to childbirth and I don’t feel like I missed anything, it seems pretty horrendous.”

And while she may not be deemed a mother by any legal standards, Kim is one in her own right — and she doesn’t feel like she missed out on a thing.

“I am a parent,” Kim said. “I have young actors and actresses that I mentor and I have nieces and nephews that I am very close to. Are you really [childless]?”

Much like her SatC independent, non-committal counterpart Samantha Jones, Kim tells it like it is and plays by her own rules. So brunch on and sip on martini a la Ms. Jones, no judgment here.
