Dan Faill, Elon's new director of Fraternity and Sorority Life and self-proclaimed thirty-four-year-old geek is changing the way Elon students view Greek life, including changing the name to Fraternity and Sorority life.

Dan Faill wants people to be able to look past his title and have students see him as just Dan.

"I think most of the dance marathon exec or Elonthon exec calls me Dan the man. I'm okay with that, it's alright by me," Faill said.

Underneath the title of Director of Fraternity and Sorority life, Faill is a geek who loves to watch comic book movies in his free time.

"I much rather kill 20 minutes - 30 minutes talking about my thoughts on 'Batman vs. Superman Dawn of Justice,'" he said.

Not only is Faill an avid lover of comic book movies, he also considers himself an artist. On the wall of his office he has put up one of his original drawings and said that in his previous office all of the artwork were his own drawings.

When dealing with students Faill hopes that his personality can shine through when dealing with tough situations.

"I just like being honest and I like being funny and that's just part of my personality and I hope that comes across in the student conversations that I am able to have that they feel comfortable and honest enough to come to me, because I will go to them if I hear of anything or I need to talk to them," he said.

Faill wants to be more than just an authority figure on campus. Faill even remodeled the office of Fraternity and Sorority Life in Moseley so students can use it as a resource in the future. If you need to talk to Dan Faill his office is Moseley 224.
