The Elon University men's basketball team's losing streak continued on Wednesday night as the College of Charleston used a hot shooting hand to down the Phoenix 77-63.

The loss is Elon's seventh straight, and its 11th in its last 12 games.

Much like in the pair's last contest, a 66-50 Charleston win at Alumni Gym, Cougars guard Canyon Barry put on a show. He scored a game-high 22 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

The Phoenix was led by the guard combo of Tanner Samson and Elijah Bryant, which combined for 42 points, but its output wasn't enough to overcome a 56 percent shooting night from Charleston.

It was another poor night defensively for the Phoenix, which has allowed opposing offenses to shoot nearly 60 percent from the field over its past two contests.

The Cougars outrebounded Elon 38-26 on the night, and shot 42 percent from three-point range.

Elon will look to rebound on Saturday when it heads to Newark, Delaware to tip off against the University of Delaware. The last win for the Phoenix was on January 24 against the Blue Hens.
