My name is Jeffrey Williamson and I am an Elon graduate, class of 2013 and graduate class of 2014. I currently serve as the part time communications associate here at Carolina Friends School.

Carolina Friends School will host a public viewing of I'm Not Racist...Am I?, a documentary produced by Andre Robert Lee. The viewing will take place on February 24, 2015 at 7pm in the Center for Performing Arts space.

Carolina Friends is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year as one of the first schools in the Southeast with a deliberate policy of racial integration.

I'm Not Racist...Am I? is a feature documentary following a diverse group of teens through a yearlong exploration to get at the heart of racism. Through some tense and painful moments, we see how these difficult conversations affect their relationships with friends and parents, and ultimately challenge them to look deep within themselves. I wanted to connect with ELN to see if we could get media coverage from Elon and to spread the world to have people come out to see the film. There will be refreshments.

Reviews have described this film as "Powerful' and "Timely". Producer Andre Robert Lee, originally from Philadelphia, PA, will be in attendance and available after the film to host a discussion and answer questions. Lee visited CFS in 2010 to show his 52-minute documentary, The Prep School Negro.

This free event is open to Carolina Friends School community members and to the general public.
