Kevin Blake tapped in a Luke Eddy miss with 0.7 seconds on the clock to give the Elon University men's basketball team a 70-68 victory over the Miami University RedHawks on Sunday, Nov. 30 in Oxford, Ohio.

Eddy, a sophomore guard, missed a jumped with three seconds to play and the score tied at 68-68. Blake drove through the lane for the rebound and basket. Miami missed from three-quarters court as time expired.

It's the second time in three games the Phoenix has won on the final shot. Eddy made a layup with four seconds remaining to beat Morgan State University. Elon splits its four games in the Cancun Challenge, with three of them being decided by two points or less.

Eddy led the Phoenix with 22 points with three makes from beyond the arc. Freshman guard Elijah Bryant supplied 10 points.

Miami used a 7-0 run to take a 51-47 lead with 8:38 to go. Soon later, Elon used an 8-0 run of its own to go up 57-56.

Eddy made a 3-pointer with 1:26 on the clock to give the Phoenix a four-point lead.

Elon went up 16-6 early on, and led 30-26 at halftime while forcing 11 turnovers in the first 20 minutes. The Phoenix kept on running to start the second half, but the RedHawks clawed to tie it at 47-47.

The Phoenix is 3-3 overall, and will host Virginia University of Lynchburg at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Alumni Gym.
