The Alamance NAACP invites you to celebrating the beginning of Moral Freedom Summer here in Alamance County, on June 20th, at 6:00 pm, at Elon Community Church UCC, at 271 N. Williamson Ave, Elon, NC 27244. Help us welcome our NC NAACP summer organizer as we share our plans for the summer campaign and begin building participation from local individuals and organizations. Join us. We are looking for help at every level of involvement.

This statewide program, inspired by the 50th Anniversary of Mississippi Freedom Summer and led by the NC NAACP Youth and College Division, will help coordinate local, long-term, issue-based voter empowerment campaigns, while promoting the development, support, and celebration of youth leadership, particularly youth of color. To accomplish these goals, our summer organizer and local participants will build support among our local coalitions, deepening relationships between our faith, labor, civil rights, LGBT, youth, and immigrant communities.

If you believe in a long-term, transformative fusion movement in North Carolina, let us meet on June 20th, because, as in Romans 1:11-12,

"I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong- that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith."
