For Elon Men's Basketball Head Coach Matt Matheny, Davidson won't be the only thing on his mind Saturday night.
Saturday is Senior Night for five members of the Phoenix squad: Jack Isenbarger, Lucas Troutman, Sebastian Koch, Ryley Beaumont and Egheosa Edomwonyi.
"This is a special class," Matheny said. "This is one of the best classes in the history of Elon Basketball."
Saturday, the Elon Phoenix (18-12, 11-4 SoCon) welcomes the Davidson Wildcats (18-11, 14-1 SoCon) to Alumni Gym for their last home game of the year.
Earlier this season, the Phoenix defeated the Wildcats in overtime 87-85 for their first win at Davidson. The result for Saturday night is uncertain, but Matheny is sure of one thing.
"Their legacy is already cemented as one of the best classes of all-time," he said. "But the last few chapters are not written."
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Saturday in Alumni Gym.
