Although it seems like restaurants are abundant in the Elon area, a handful of Burlington restaurants have closed their doors to the public this winter.

B. Christopher's restaurant, on South Church Street, shut down after almost fifteen years in Burlington. The business is relocating to 201-A N. Elm St. in Greensboro. Chris Russell, the owner, said that Greensboro is a better location for his restaurant. Cutlery Steakhouse will take its place. The new steakhouse is owned by a former B. Christopher's chef.

We spoke with Elon senior and former employee Braeden Moore about how B. Christopher's relocation is affecting her.

"Now, I'm thinking should I get a new job? Is it worth it? But I'm a senior, so no one is going to hire me for three months, and now I'm just kind of in limbo until I graduate. If I was younger, then I probably could get another job or if they had stayed, I probably could've kept my job," Moore said.

Ruby Tuesday has also recently closed. The business left a note on the door asking customers to visit their restaurant in Mebane.

Earlier this year, Mex Am, Creations by Sherry and Mathnasium shut down, as well.
