The Ultrasound Practice Council of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine is pleased to announce that Westside OB/GYN Center, Pa, Westside OB/GYN Center, PA- Mebane Location, and Westside Women's center, have been awarded ultrasound practice accreditation in the areas of Obstetric (1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester) and Gynecologic Ultrasound.
Westside facilities, have achieved these recognitions by meeting rigorous voluntary guidelines set by the diagnostic ultrasound profession. All facets of the practices were assessed, including he training and qualifications of physicians and sonographer; ultrasound equipment maintenance; documentation; storage, and record-keeping practices; policies and procedures to protect patients and staff; quality assurance methods; and the thoroughness, technical quality and interpretation of sonograms the practices perform.
About Westside Facilities
Westside OB/GYN Center, PA- has been accredited since November 2010, and has remained consistently accredited. Westside Women's Center and Westside OB/GYN Center, PA- have newly become accredited by the AIUM council since July of 2013. Westside facilities are the only facilities in the area to be recognized by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine Council. Westside strives to provide the best quality care for all patients, and continuously seeks to maintain superior standards of ultrasound care. All of Westside's sonographers are certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, ARDMS, in obstetric and gynecology.
