Our K-9 Handler school, Seminar and certifications starts today. This will be going on for 3 weeks and is hosted by Alert K-9 of Reidsville, NC, Triangle K-9, Elon Police Department, Gibsonville Police Department and the United States Law Enforcement Canine Association. We will be training in Elon, NC and Gibsonville, NC.
We have 4 handlers of the Alamance County Sheriff's office, 2 Elon handlers, 1 Gibsonville handler, 1 Graham handler, 1 Alabama handler,1 handler from the Czech Republic and also a high Sheriff from Oklahoma.
We thought that this is a great opportunity to educate the public about the training and certification a K-9 has to go through to be able to work on the streets.
We will meet at the Elon park community center today and the Elon Chief will be there also.
