The Truitt Center hosted the Women of Color Institute on Saturday, April 13th. The interactive event was designed to create a network and to discuss life as a woman of color in the workplace, at home and at school.
"The event is a Women of Color Institute. It is an affinity space for all women of color here on Elon's campus to come together to identify with what it means to be women of color in the twenty-first century and what that means as we are leaders here on Elon's campus and as we branch out into other areas here in the North Carolina area," sophomore Daniela Dwyer said.
The group holds small events, weekly and is looking to hold more events like the Women of Color Institute in the future.
