The date of Easter 'hops' around each year, but the Friday before Easter Sunday is known as Good Friday - and Christians believe it's one of the most sacred days of the year.
Elon sophomore and Catholic Campus Ministry President Megan Green organized multiple events for this year's Holy Week festivities including tomorrow and Sunday's services. Green said she’ll be spending the holiday in reflection and prayer.
"It’s sort of a solemn day and we just remember," Green said. "But it is called Good Friday in the sense that we are able to rejoice in the fact that Christ conquered death."
