She finally popped. The pint-sized reality show star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and fiancé Jionni LaValle welcomed a baby boy to the world Aug. 26.
I’ve heard far too many remarks about how this child, Lorenzo Dominic LaValle, has the worst mother in the world. But if you look back on the past nine months for Snooki, she’s actually cleaned up her act.
You will be able to see just how she acted in October when the next season of “Jersey Shore” comes out. It encompasses the last four months of her pregnancy. Unless MTV and Snooki want thousands of angry viewers, there shouldn’t be any footage of her drinking. As further evidence of her sobriety, Lorenzo came into the world as a perfectly healthy baby.
However, some of the Snooki-ness still exists in her. While she stopped drinking and partying hardcore, Snooki did demand an entire hospital floor to herself while she was in labor. Supposedly, it was a precaution because the hospital name was leaked to the media. Needless to say, there were some angry new parents.
We’ll all just have to wait and see how Snooki plays the mom figure. While it may be scary to live in a world where she is a mother, she may surprise us yet.
