Alex Nuesse Interning at Soundtrack Studios in Boston, Mass. Class of 2013
I am going into my senior year at Elon and am a Music major with a music tech and business minor. I am interning at the company Soundtrack Studios in Boston, Mass. This is my fifth week in and I love it! I come in three days a week and for two out of the three days I work with the company Aircraft that holds their music libraries. My job is to update all of the artist and song information and to take note of what is missing so that we can get a hold of the information needed. Every Thursday, however, is my "learning" day where I get to sit in on a studio session and watch the audio engineer work with clients. This has been my favorite and the most rewarding experience of my internship here. I have had the amazing opportunity to sit in on the making of McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, Sam Adams and Barnes & Nobles television and radio ads. I watch the engineer record, organize and mix everything. I love my internship this summer and hope to come back again next year after I graduate from Elon.
