Q: How would you describe your first year playing for Coach Jason Swepson and his staff?

A: It was a great experience. I learned a lot from all of the coaches during the good and bad of the season. At times I felt like a freshman again learning new schemes and new policies for the program.

Q: What are your thoughts on being voted fifth for the Walter Payton Award?

A: It's a blessing.  I feel like it's an honor I can share with my teammates because without them it wouldn't have been a reachable feat.

Q: How does it feel to break Terrell Hudgins' Elon University and Southern Conference records for receiving yards?

A: It's an accomplishment I only dreamed about. I'm still a little shocked that I was able to break it. My teammate, (senior running back) Jamal Shuman, had told me the day before the game that I would break it, but of course I didn't believe him.

Q: You were the focus for a lot of defenses this year. What kinds of different coverages did defenses throw at you and how were you still able to get open?

A: Each week it seemed to be something different. For the most part it was quarters and cover two.  So when I did get a man-to-man look I made sure to take advantage of it because I might not get that coverage again throughout the game.

Q: What's it like playing receiver in a system like Elon's that throws the ball so often?

A: A receiver's dream. Knowing your team is going to throw around 40 passes a game can't do anything but have you looking forward to a game.  I was just fortunate to get as many passes as I did this season.

Q: What are your goals for next season? Any individual goals?

A: I just want a winning season first, compete for a conference championship and make the playoffs. These are goals I will make sure my teammates know we are going to reach. And individually I wouldn't mind having a similar type of season, but I know that will be harder because of defenses keying on me and the other playmakers we have at wideout. Lastly I want to win the SoCon Player of Year. It would be an award I would love to win for Elon and my teammates.
