Elon adds new programs in compliance with Title IX

There are several initiatives going on all around campus that are focusing on inclusion and Elon is adding new programs to campus this fall handling sexual harassment. "It was really time for this and it was an important institutional priority," said Leigh-Anne Royster, Director of Health Services and Health Promotion at Elon. For the first time this fall, students can use the internet to make a report of sexual or bias harassment.

The Elon football team will get underway this Saturday against ACC opponent UNC. Last year's squad posted a record of five and six, and a big reason for their success came by the hands of Aaron Mellette, literally.

Week ahead in sports

Ahead this week in sports the women's volleyball team will play North Carolina on Wednesday. On thursday the women's soccer team will look for their second win of the season against Coastal Carolina.

Craig Turner to fill vacant seat on Alamance County Board of Commissioners

Craig Turner, first vice chair of the Alamance County GOP, was elected by the Alamance County GOP executive committee to fill the vacant seat on the Alamance County Board of Commissioners. Turner is an Alamance County native, Elon Law alumnus ‘10 and veteran, serving in the US Navy for eight and a half years.
