Elon welcomes Alpha Epsilon Phi as 10th sorority chapter

Elon’s Panhellenic council announced the addition of AEPhi, a historically Jewish sorority, on May 13.  “We are thrilled to announce our community expansion with the establishment of Alpha Epsilon Phi here at Elon University,” Panhellenc wrote in an instagram post.

Elon alum, former basketball player dies two weeks after returning to campus

Elon University alum Dmitri Thompson ’18 died May 13 — just two weeks after he came to campus to receive a 2024 Top 10 Under Top award, which honors 10 alumni who have graduated in the past 10 years for their post-graduation accomplishments. Elon News Network does not yet know the cause of death. Thompson was a former member of Elon’s Men’s Basketball Team and ended his career as one of the best scorers in program history. When he was on campus April 27, he earned recognition for his efforts as the CEO of Rise Media and cofounder of Rise League, Inc.
