Racial justice, voting rights march in Graham ends with police dispersing marchers with pepper spray

More than a hundred people gathered in Graham, N.C. for the I Am Change Legacy March to the Polls on Oct. 31, 2020. The march started at the Wayman Chapel Church and ended at the Alamance County Courthouse. What started as a peaceful march ended with aggression from the  Alamance County Sheriffs which included pepper spray and taking marchers into custody.



President William Harper’s name removed from residence hall

Workers remove William Harper’s name from a Colonnades residence hall on July 7, 2020. Harper served as the fourth president of Elon University from 1911-1931.



Student Government Association Inauguration

The 2020-2021 SGA executive council was sworn in March 12, at the final meeting of the previous administration. The inauguration date was moved up due to in-person classes being suspended.

T-Pain performed with openers gianni & kyle during the 2019 Homecoming concert in Schar Center on Nov. 2, 2019. The concert was hosted by the Student Union Board and was open to students, faculty, alumni and the public.

On Oct. 7, art faculty had the opportunity to showcase their artwork. Gallery 406 holds the exhibition every two years to show the diversity of aspects the faculty cover in their work. The gallery specifically highlighted giving faculty members the opportunity to represent "Elon's model of Teacher/Scholar."

Remembering Chris Edwards '18

Elon alumnus Chris Edwards '18 and his sister Erin, 20, were slain on Aug. 22, 2019 by their mother – who later committed suicide in their townhouse in Cobb County, Georgia. Edwards was 24.
