Students and on-campus clubs filled Young Commons for Elon University’s 2026 Fall Organization Fair. Hosted by the Office of Student Involvement, the Organization Fair is a chance for students to see the different on-campus clubs and organizations open to them at Elon.
Freshman Cara Sullivan was exploring the fair with her friend Celia Valko and said they’d both had fun seeing the different tables and talking to members of different clubs
“Everyone is so sweet, and it’s really great to know all the organizations that I didn’t know were at Elon,” Sullivan said.
Junior Lucy Merrell remembered going to the Organization Fair her freshman year, signing up for clubs she found interesting and that she’d stay with to this day.
“I remember walking down the a cappella groups and immediately calling my mom like, ‘Everyone says college is not like Pitch Perfect, but my college is,’” Merrell said.
Senior Antonina Spinello was at the Organization Fair to recruit for Elon Student Television and The Haha, the comedy television show she and other students work on. She says the Organization Fair is a chance for clubs to connect with students who have special interests and show what makes each club unique.
“I see a lot of growth, that’s what I think it means,” Spinello said. “Every year, there’s more organizations, more places for people to explore their options.”
Junior Nick LaChapelle, president of club swim and the new club triathlon, said the Organization Fair is where many club sports get most of their recruits.
“We’ve already gotten more people than we had last year, and it’s only an hour in,” LaChapelle said.
LaChapelle said club swim had around 50 new sign-ups an hour in, and club triathlon had around 30.
Merrell said that even as a junior she was still finding new clubs to sign up for and recommended students to keep coming no matter their grade level.
“I just signed up to audition for a cappella, and I’m going to join Catholic Campus Ministry, and I’m a junior, so you never know,” Merrell said.
