Two key contributors for Elon men’s basketball — juniors Ned Hull and Isaac Harrell — have entered the NCAA transfer portal. It signals potential roster changes ahead of the 2026 season.

Hull announced his decision on March 23 via social media. He thanked Elon and head coach Billy Taylor for his time at Elon. A former walk-on in 2023, Hull earned a scholarship ahead of the 2025–26 season and developed into Elon’s primary shooter off the bench, knocking down 34 three-pointers this season.

He was Elon’s leading scorer in its loss to the College of William & Mary in the first round of the Coastal Athletic Association tournament.

Harrell announced his decision via his agent on March 26. The junior forward, a three-year member of the program, averaged 7.4 points and 3.6 rebounds as a starter in the 2025-2026 season. He played the fourth most minutes for the Phoenix this season.

The departures come after nine players transferred out of the program ahead of the 2025 season, making Hull and Harrell two of Elon’s most experienced returners. Both played significant minutes and were expected to be key pieces in 2026.

Both players have two years of eligibility remaining. Entering the transfer portal allows other programs to contact players, but does not guarantee a departure.

Gerrit Van Genderen, Elon’s Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications, declined ENN’s request for comment.
