Update May 16, 11:10 a.m. – Power has been restored to Danieley I. The power was off for more than 53 hours.

At 3:59 p.m. on May 15 a power outage was first reported to Duke Energy that has impacted much of the east side of campus. East Neighborhood, Danieley Neighborhood and the Francis Center are all currently without power. All together, Duke Energy currently estimates three outages in the area, which also stretches east of campus into several off-campus student housing complexes.

An email from vice president for Student Life Jon Dooley said the university does not believe the issues are related to current power outage issues happening in Danieley I, which began around 3:15 a.m. on May 14. Danieley I residents have been told the power is expected to be restored around 9 p.m. on May 15.

Elon expects the power outage that most recently occurred to be resolved at approximately 6:45 p.m.
