If you're leaving your car on campus, Police Technical Services Coordinator Scott Jean said Campus Police will not be ticketing and towing for parking in other student lots from now through the weekend. However, they will be enforcing reserved spaces such as handicap or maintenance spots, fire lanes, curbs, and parking in the grass.
Director of Physical Plant Tom Flood says he’s confident all of the campus parking lots are safe to leave cars at over the weekend.
The best advice for finding a parking spot is to avoid parking near trees or power lines, and to find a higher elevation in the parking lot if possible.
Take pictures of your car before you leave. It makes it easier to file a claim with your insurance company just in case anything happens to it.
