Three town of Elon railroad crossings will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Sept. 17 according to the town of Elon and Elon Police Department. The Gilliam Road, York Road and tentatively Oak Avenue crossings will be closed. The Gilliam Road and York Road crossings both have road closure signage as of 10:45 p.m. on Sept. 16; the Oak Avenue crossing does not.
