The Elon University trustees approved a tuition increase under 4 percent for the third year in a row. Next year, tuition will increase by 3.9 percent for Elon's undergraduate program, bringing the total cost for students living on campus to $40,046.

Elon's full-time graduate programs will experience a tuition increase for the 2013-2014 school year, as well. Tuition will increase by 3.9 percent for the Elon University School of Law, Interactive Media master's program, Doctor of Physical Therapy program and Physician Assistant Studies master's program. The total cost for the Elon University School of Law will be $37,549. The Interactive Media master's program will be $33,784 and the tuition for both the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and Physician Assistant Studies master's program will be $33,420.

The budget also includes 13 new full-time faculty positions, 14 new staff positions and 7 new physical plant positions.
