The Burlington Police Department arrested a 43-year-old Burlington resident today. A registered sex offender, he was charged with felony indecent exposure and unlawful presence on park premises.
Jason Garant Perkins masturbated in front of a victim and her family Jan. 7 in Joe Davidson Park. His white Toyota was parked near the family’s car, and as they approached, he opened his driver’s side door and indecently exposed himself. The victim was able to obtain a very detailed description of the suspect, his vehicle and the North Carolina registration plate, according to the Burlington Police Department.
After interviewing Perkins, the police arrested and charged him. He was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
