The Southern Conference announced their 2012 men's basketball postseason awards today, and the Elon Phoenix were well-represented.

Sophomore guard Jack Isenbarger was named to the All-Conference Team and freshman guard Austin Hamilton was selected to the All-Freshman Team by the league's coaches.

Isenbarger was first on the Phoenix and ninth in the SoCon with 14.1 points per game. He was fifth in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (.407) and tied for tenth with 2.8 assists per game. He played in 27 games this season, starting 14 of them and picking up double-figures in points in 19 games, including in 11 straight games from Jan. 19-Feb. 18. He was named the SoCon Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 31-Feb. 6, aided by a 34-point performance against The Citadel Feb. 4. Isenbarger was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team last season.

Hamilton led the Phoenix in assists per game (3.0), finishing tied for tenth in the conference in that category. Despite missing six games due to mononucleosis, he averaged 9.8 points per contest in 23 appearances (19 starts). He made his first collegiate start Nov. 15 against South Carolina and scored 12 points to help the Phoenix to its first victory over a BCS-conference basketball program.

Davidson College head coach Bob McKillop was named the Coach of the Year and Wildcats sophomore forward De'Mon Brooks was named the Player of the Year. Wofford College senior guard Brad Loesing was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year and the Terriers' first-year guard Karl Cochran was named the SoCon's Freshman of the Year.
