It was a nice night for baseball in Raleigh as the Elon University baseball squad competed against the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Besides the weather, there was much left to be desired.
After a scoreless first inning, the Phoenix surrendered 14 unanswered runs en route to a 14-0 loss.
Elon will look to bounce back from this loss in preparation for a three-game road series at William & Mary starting on Friday. The team falls to 11-12 overall but remains 3-0 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
