Video: Professor Michael Strickland encourages community to enjoy garden following strawberry festival, plant sale

The Elon Strawberry Festival on Friday has been a labor of love for Michael Strickland's Garden Studio class this semester. The students' work culminated in this end-of-semester festival, which was well-attended by students, faculty and community members.

Slack Lining on the Quad

I was coming out of Moseley Monday afternoon when I saw three or four guys balancing on this rope on Young Commons. I had my camera with me (surprise) and went up to them and started a conversation. This group of guys, including senior Graham Giley, were enjoying the beautiful spring weather and trying to find their balance while slack lining, not tightrope walking.

Winter Term course pushes students out of comfort zone

Students enrolled in the Winter Term course “French Theater in Production” put the finishing touches on their production of Moliere’s “Le bourgeois gentilhomme,” which they will perform entirely in French. Each student was expected to have a role in the play, through acting or production, according to Olivia Choplin, assistant professor of French, pictured above. Audience members will be able to follow the prose through English subtitles. The play will take place Feb. 4 in Yeager Recital Hall.

Multi-Faith center construction begins

The Academic Village is just the latest site of construction on Elon University's campus. This week, a team broke ground on the Numen Lumen Pavilion, the final building in the village which will serve as a Multi-faith Center.
