ABSS cancels March 16 school day ahead of severe weather
The Alamance-Burlington School System announced March 15 that there will be no school on Monday, March 16, due to the anticipated severe weather and strong winds.
The North Carolina Supreme Court ruled on April 11 that 5,000 votes from military and overseas absentee voters could be thrown out in the contested state supreme court race if no photo ID is provided. A federal judge ordered the North Carolina State Board of Elections to enforce the state supreme court's order.
