The members of the North Carolina House of Representatives voted 114-3 in favor of House bill 87, or the Cell Phone-Free Education bill. The bill would require all K-12 public schools in North Carolina to adopt a policy eliminating or severely limiting student access to cell phones in the classroom.

ABSS transitions to Optional Teacher Workday Jan. 30

The Alamance-Burlington School System announced Jan. 29 that there will be no remote learning for students Jan. 30, and teachers will have an optional workday. The district said the decision was made to preserve its final remote learning day for potential future weather events.
