Another downtown Elon restaurant, Mediterranean Deli, has announced it will be closing just days after The Root announced it will shut its doors Oct. 30.
“Thank you Elon Community, for your support over the past few years. We have decided to close this location,” the company wrote on a note taped to the front door.
The sign indicates that the restaurant's Chapel Hill location will remain open for catering.
This is the second time the Mediterranean restaurant has closed in Elon.
Formerly located below Park Place, Mediterranean Deli shut its doors in 2022 after four years because it was not economically feasible. The restaurant reopened downtown in March 2024.
