The class of 2026 flooded into Rhodes Stadium for the annual Senior Celebration on May 20. Students enjoyed food, drinks, caricature drawings and field games as they wrapped up one of the last events before the commencement ceremony May 22.

With graduation just two days away, senior Maggie Rolfe said it still doesn’t feel real yet.

“I feel like it hasn’t hit me yet. It feels so surreal,” Rolfe said.

Students who had made donations to the school toward their selected cause got to enjoy two free drinks in addition to the one they received for attending the event.

Cornhole boards and Spikeball nets entertained seniors, and frisbees flew through the air as the night continued.

Senior Sean Golubitsky said he enjoyed seeing familiar faces at the event, especially ones he hasn't seen in a long time.

“I just bumped into my freshman year roommate, and I haven’t seen him in four years,” Golubitsky said. “It’s always fun to catch up with old faces.”

Golubitsky’s advice to underclassmen is to enjoy the years at Elon before they make it to the end.

“It is what you make of it, the whole four years, but you’re going to get there eventually,” Golubitsky said. “It’s just about enjoying the journey.”

Seniors spread out across the field to enjoy the fireworks display at the end of the night.
