Updated as of 7:54 p.m. on July 29 to include dismissal of misdemeanor charges against Dean.

Charges against Elon University student  Jaimes Kylie Dean have been dismissed following a disposition on July 28. A disposition is a final resolution of a court case and a dismissal means that the charges were dropped.

Dean did not respond to an Elon News Network’s immediate request for comment following the dismissal of charges.

Dean was arrested April 12 for  three misdemeanor charges — including assault inflicting serious injury, breaking or entering, and crime of domestic violence. Dean was later released on April 14.

According to the arrest warrant from the town of Elon Police Department, Dean allegedly wrongfully entered the residence of the victim and poured toilet bowl cleaner resulting in visible skin irritation to the victim’s face.
