Elon University will kick off its Move-In Day and New Student Orientation festivities this Friday, Aug. 18. Events will last through Monday, Aug. 21 and classes will begin Tuesday, Aug. 22. Friday, Aug. 18:

8 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Schar Center orientation check in and move in | Schar Center

All new students are assigned a time, which can be found on their Acorn Account, to check in at Schar Center and then move into their residence hall. During check in, students will receive orientation materials, Phoenix Card and residence hall key.

1:30 to 2:30 p.m. | Elon Bridge welcome session | Moseley Student Center, room 215

1:30 to 2:30 p.m. or 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. | Parent and family welcome session | Alumni Gym

Senior staff will discuss strategies and services available at Elon to support students. 

4:30 to 4:40 p.m. | Meet orientation leaders | Young Commons (Students Only)

4:40 to 5:30 p.m. | Orientation small group meeting | Assigned meeting room on nametag 

4:40 to 5:30 p.m. | Transfer students meet with transfer academic advisor | LaRose Theatre

Members of Student Life and Campus Safety and Police will speak to students about the expectations of living, learning and staying safe on campus. Students will also learn about their neighborhood’s theme, identity and traditions.
