OnTrack will be undergoing reconstruction to have a more streamlined look and feel for users, according to Elon University’s Office of Information Technology. The website will be offline for 30 minutes at 4 p.m. on Nov. 1 and will come back online with new updates and interface.

Of the major updates, a single sign-on system will be put in place, combining all passwords for Elon applications including OnTrack, Moodle and email. The login to OnTrack will be supported by an extra step of the Duo Mobile authenticator app.

The website will be updated to Self Service, which the Office of Information Technology said will be more accessible and mobile-friendly for users.

The homepage of the website will also be updated, converting to role-based navigation. This will allow for automatic differentiation between those logging in, so pages will look different for students, faculty and staff.
