Elon University senior and former member of Elon's football team Nicholas Kavouklis was found dead in a rural part of Southern Alamance County just after 2 p.m. on May 23 according to an email from Vice President of student life Jon Dooley. Kavouklis from Tampa, Florida and an exercise science major.
Every year, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards about 2,000 grants to recent graduates and graduate students in over 140 countries in six global regions. This year, five Elon seniors and an alumna were awarded Fulbright grants, an increase from four students last year. Four recipients accepted while two declined.
