Elon student Joseph Michael Centofanti, 20, was charged with two felony and two misdemeanor drug charges after Town of Elon police responded to a drug complaint on March 16th.
According to court documents, the felony charges are possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and manufacturing of marijuana. The misdemeanor charges are possession of alcohol under the age of 21 and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Jackie Lee "Trip" Mulligan III, 20, is charged with two misdemeanors, including possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
The Elon Town Police report states that officers detected the smell of marijuana and observed drug paraphernalia upon arrival at the apartment at 317 W. Haggard Ave.
Officers searched the residence after obtaining a warrant. A marijuana grinder was seized from Mulligan.
According to the police report, items seized from Centofanti included more than $1,100 in cash, more than 140 grams of marijuana located in various places throughout the residence, cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. Police also poured six bottles of vodka found in the apartment down the sink.
