Dedicated newer members to Elon Local News are invited to join the "ELN One" program. By taking part in the mentorship program, ELN members explore in-depth the opportunities available within the student news media organization, take part in small group sessions and workshops, and have advanced opportunity to succeed as a valued member of ELN.

  • The Interview: setting up an interview, proper techniques, asking the right questions, getting the most in your time together with a source

  • ELN - the entire process of Monday show, from news to production

  • Producing 101: The elements to a great show.

November 2 - no session

  • ELN Morning - difference between entertainment show & a morning news show, how the morning process works

  • ElonLocalNews.com - what's effective multimedia content, what an audience looks for on the web, how to operate online content and more

  • The Story: Expanding beyond the lede while appealing to your target audience.
