At Thursday night’s SGA Senate meeting, Rodney Parks, registrar and assistant professor, informed the Senate about several changes in the transcript acquisition process. On June 7, students will be able to order their transcripts online for an $8 charge, a $3 increase from the current process. The system will be fully automated by fall 2013.

“The minute you order it, you’ll get the PDF within five minutes,” Parks said.

The university is also considering offering an experiential learning transcript to fully reflect a student’s college experience and skills.

“We may be the first university in the nation to offer that,” Parks said. “Stanford is also considering it.”

In other news, the Senate unanimously voted to approve the 2013-2014 budget. It passed a special budget allocation for Better Together to partially cover its travel costs to an Interfaith Leadership Institute at New York University, as well as an allocation for the Elon Ambassadors club.
